The People in Peril shelter in Worcester, MA is the last resort for the sick, homeless, and addicted residents of Massachusetts' second largest city. Race, class, and gender inequality as well as violence haunt many of the residents.

Scene of Identity

I spent several months in Flint, MI photographing youth, music, identity, and expression. The city suffers socially and economically in post-industrial America, but most of these youth create identity and security through each other.
