Registration Fees

IVSA membership (which includes 3 issues of Visual Studies) is required to attend the IVSA conference. Both IVSA membership and conference fees are based on a sliding scale that depends on income level and country of origin. The fees (in US dollars) and list of countries by category are shown below.

IVSA Membership Fees

Category A Countries

  • Regular Member (income < $50,000): $60 (USD)
  • Regular Member (income > $50,000): $80 (USD)
  • Retired: $40
  • Graduate Student: $40 (USD)
  • Unemployed: $40 (USD)

Category B Countries

  • Regular Member (income < $50,000): $25 (USD)
  • Regular Member (income > $50,000): $33 (USD)
  • Retired: $17 (USD)
  • Graduate Student: $17 (USD)
  • Unemployed: $17 (USD)

Category C Countries

  • Regular Member (income < $50,000): $9 (USD)
  • Regular Member (income > $50,000): $11 (USD)
  • Retired: $6 (USD)
  • Graduate Student: $8 (USD)
  • Unemployed: $6 (USD)

IVSA Conference Fees

  • Faculty member: $170 (USD)
  • Student, retired, unemployed: $100 (USD)

Category B Countries

  • Faculty member: $100 (USD)
  • Student, retired, unemployed: $50 (USD)
